Goggles

Yesterday my prescription goggles came in. They are pretty fantastic. I will want to make a strap to go around the back of my head so they cant fly off, other than that they look great for handball. They were quite inexpensive too. A mere 45 bucks is all I had to drop on them. Here they are pictured with a sunshade, but it's removable and in all likelihood I wont need it indoors.

In case you read this Flynn I got these through zennioptical.com. Theres also a blue and yellow version of this pair. I wouldn't recommend the all black version, the edges of the lenses look sharp, whereas the ones I got have nice round edges.

sushi

I have a pretty nifty discovery to share. The Teriyaki Bowl has expanded their sushi menu and now has fresh sushi, as opposed to pre made sushi. They also added miso soup as an option. The prices are not the lowest, but they are very reasonable considering the quality. Of course they still have the teriyaki bowls which are mounds of food for very affordable prices. They really impressed me tonight, they threw in free miso because we got more than 2 varieties of sushi and they even made us a complimentary roll. Obviously since I'm blogging it I was very impressed with everything.

So, a funny thing happened just now and I wanted to share. My girl told me that when she first found out that my best friend had a crush on me when she met me and that she wanted to threaten her with pointy things and tell her to stay away from her boy. Don't worry squid, erin will not threaten you with pointy things on my watch.

little bit of news

So, lots of things have been going on and I have not been blogging one wit about any of them. i'll try and catch up on some of the recent events of my life.

First off, I have moved into an apartment with my girlfriend. I will post some pics later after we have cleaned a bit. The only problem is that the roomy we were supposed to have bailed out on us...making the rent higher and taking the bulk of our pots and pans...that dirty cunt.


Second on the list is work related. Just yesterday I turned in a job bid for a promotion at work. The position I applied for is called Process Specialist. Basically what that job entails is helping everyone else do their job right. I think I have a fair chance since I have plenty of experience in explaining shit to people from being a tutor so many years, and the boss man handed me the application personally and said "here apply for this".


In the tertiary spot, I have been modifying my appearance of late. The holiday pounds have been getting on my nerves and so I have been working out a lot in my home. Pull-ups and hoola hooping have been at the top of the list. I have also gone back to the way short hair look. I may add pics of that later.

And the fourth thing on my list is the courses I'm taking this semester. The first is nothing special. I'm taking psychology again to raise my grade. I am also taking Interpersonal communication. That class may prove to be fun. One course is mwf the other is ttr and both start at like 11 and they end around 12 which is really cool.

So thats my lame ass life for now. ttyl

For Teh Squid I made a GIR hoodie.

For Flynn I made a hair SWOOSH hat.

For Mark I made a harlequin santa hat/scarf

For Vanilla fresh I made a nice scarf

For the bride von V-fresh I made a lovely red and black oriental hat.

For Tessa I'm making a belated kitty hat.
