Pipe Dreams

So, for the longest time I wanted to use some salvaged pipe and wire and make a big dreamcatcher. I finally did just that and I really like the results. It's not quite done yet, I'm going to hang some pipe beads and etched copper feathers, but the main piece is finished.

Lately I've been working on a collection of pieces based on arrangements of circles. The circles are all sections of copper pipe that has been salvaged from here and there. My pieces were somewhat limited by the fact I had only certain sizes of pipe. Even so, there is still quite a bit of potential for further pieces with this collection, and when I happen to salvage other sizes of pipe I will get to see how the style of the pieces changes.

Here, is a piece I hammered out this evening. I'm thinking of making some more and adding things like pearls and semi precious stones. It would be a good chance to experiment with settings.

These are a few forms I've put together. They are based on a style I was looking at in a book at Barnes and Noble today. they are not sanded and polished yet, but I really like the style and I think it has a lot of potential.

Ran/jogged 3.2 miles no walking break, 35minutes. My goal will be to run/jog the 5k on Saturday in under 35minutes.

Moment of awesome

I have successfully passed my written and clinical boards. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I can legally call myself board certified now.
